What are Sea Witch's Hours of Operation:
Charters may be scheduled between the hours of 10 am through 8 pm daily. Sunset sails are scheduled from 6:00-8:00 pm in July and 5:30-7:30 in August. Additional sailing time may be added to any charter at a rate of $200 per hour. *Requests for time outside of our normal operating hours will be considered based on availability and will incur an additional $200 fee.
Where will our destination be on the day of our sail?
Often with sailing, we follow the wind and enjoy the ride, rather than focusing on a specific destination. We do consider your requests and make every effort to take you to your desired location. However, charter destinations are based on weather, current, tide and sea state as well as the length of your charter.
What is included?
All day charters include soda, water, ice, and light snacks as well as a gourmet hors d'oeuvre platter on sails of 4 hours or more. All day sail prices are for up to 6 people. Charter rates do not include gratuity for the Captain and crew. Gratuities are traditionally 15-20% based on great service. "If you enjoyed your trip, don't forget to tip."
How are payments handled?
A 50% deposit is due at the time of your reservation. The deposit is based on 6 guests. The remaining balance will be adjusted to include any additional guests (charged at $75 per person) as well as any requested catering. The final balance may be paid by cash, Venmo or credit card on the day of your sail.
How is My Time Calculated?
Your sailing excursion time begins and ends at your schedule charter time. Round trip transportation time from the beach to the sailboat is part of your total excursion time. Charter rates and time are not adjusted for late arrivals, including missed ferries or other transportation issues, so please plan ahead for an on-time arrival.
Where Do We Meet for Pick Up?
Guests will be picked up by dinghy (a smaller inflatable transport boat) at Eastville Point Beach on the west side of the draw bridge. Guests will be asked to remove shoes before boarding the dinghy, so please wear shoes that can be easily removed and that can get wet. Please visit our "Contact Us" tab for a map to the pick up location.
What can I bring aboard?
Be aware that space aboard is limited, therefore please keep personal belongings and bags to a minimum and consider one bag per family (rather than one bag per person.) Hard-sided coolers are not only difficult to transport aboard but can also damage boat surfaces so we request that only soft-sided coolers are brought aboard. Guests may bring their own food and beverages, including alcohol, aboard and must prepare and consume these items above deck. Please bring any paper products (plates, forks, napkins, etc.) with you if you bring your own meal aboard.
ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ALLOWED ABOARD THE VESSEL.
What is Sea Witch's Alcohol Policy:
Guests are welcome to bring alcoholic beverages (with the exception of red wine which is prohibited) and drink in moderation while aboard. Excessive alcohol use, as identified by the Captain while underway, is not permitted as it poses a safety hazard to guests and crew, and will result in an early and immediate end to the sail.
Marine Environment and Electronics:
The marine environment by nature is not conducive to electronics such as laptops, cameras, iPads and cell phones. We recommend these items be stowed away or left at your hotel for your protection. Sea Witch and her staff are not responsible for damage by rain, sea spray, waves or other water damage, nor impact damage from shifts in boat stability while underway.
